Photos are proof: that the tech showed up, that the work was done, that the unit was left in a good state. Run a Call can require before-and-after photos before a job can close.
How photos work today
Photo capture is built into the mobile close-job flow — every tech can take before, after, data-plate, damage, and other photos. There's no admin-side toggle to require photos before close. If you want photos enforced, set the policy with your team and use the activity timeline to confirm photos were taken.
What counts
| Photo type | When it's taken |
|---|---|
| Before photo | Taken while the tech is on the Arrived status, before any work shows on the unit. |
| After photo | Taken after the work is complete, before Mark done. |
You can require a minimum count (e.g. 2 before, 2 after).
Mobile UX
In the mobile close-job checklist, the tech taps Add photo and picks one of the photo types. Each photo is timestamped, geo-tagged (if location permission is on), and attached to the job + equipment record.
Why this matters
| Use case | What photos protect |
|---|---|
| Disputes | "They didn't do the work" is impossible to argue without photos. |
| Warranty claims | Pre-existing damage is documented. |
| Coaching | Techs who skip photos show patterns the office can address. |
