Deleting a job removes it from the system entirely. The job no longer shows in reports, the customer's history, or the dispatch board.

Caution

Delete is permanent. Use Cancel instead in 99% of cases. Deletion is for jobs created in error that have no customer interaction yet.

How to delete

  1. Open the job.
  2. Click ⋯ → Delete job.
  3. Confirm.

Only owners and admins can delete jobs. Field techs and staff can't.

When deletion is OK

  • Jobs created by accident (dispatcher misclick) with no SMS sent.
  • Duplicate jobs accidentally created at booking.
  • Test jobs from before go-live.

When NOT to delete

  • ❌ The customer received any SMS or email.
  • ❌ A payment, deposit, or invoice exists on the job.
  • ❌ The job is part of a multi-day project.
  • ❌ The job is referenced in an estimate or invoice.

In all of these, use Cancel instead so the history stays intact.

Recovering a deleted job

A deletion can be reversed by support within 30 days. After 30 days, it's gone. Email admin@runacall.com with the customer name and approximate date — they'll restore from the audit log.
