Deleting an estimate removes it from the system. Use this only for estimates created in error — for any sent or viewed estimate, mark declined instead.
How to delete
- Open the estimate.
- Click ⋯ → Delete estimate.
- Confirm.
Important
Only owners and admins can delete estimates. Staff and field techs can't.
When deletion is OK
- Draft estimates never sent to the customer.
- Test estimates from before go-live.
- Duplicate estimates created in error.
When NOT to delete

|---|---|
| Estimates sent to the customer | Delete breaks the link they have. |
| Estimates with a viewed event | You'd lose audit history of customer engagement. |
| Approved estimates | The signed PDF is a legal record. |
| Estimates with a deposit paid | Money was collected — you need the record. |
In all of these, mark declined instead with the reason Internal error — you preserve the history.
Recovering a deleted estimate
Within 30 days, support can restore. Email admin@runacall.com with the customer name and approximate date.
