Need a paper copy of a receipt for the file, a job folder or your accountant? Print it straight from the expense: you get the receipt and the expense details on one printout.
Who can do this: anyone who can open the expense.
Open the expense
Click Expenses in the sidebar and click the expense in the list.
Click Print
Click the printer icon (Print) at the bottom of the expense. Your browser's print window opens.
The printout has:
- the expense details: merchant, date, total, tax and subtotal, category, job, vendor, how it was paid, reference, who entered it, who to reimburse, its status, when it was sent to accounting and any notes (only the details that are filled in are printed),
- the receipt itself, every page of it.
Print or save as PDF
Choose your printer and print, or save it as a PDF from the same window.
Good to know
- PDF receipts: when the receipt is a PDF, it may open in a new browser tab instead. Print it from there. If the expense has more than one PDF, you'll see Open each PDF from the receipt viewer to print it.
- No receipt on the expense: the printout has the details only, with the note No receipt file on this expense — details only.
- To get receipts to your accountant without printing, see Sending receipts to your accountant automatically.
