There's no global search bar today. Search happens per list — Jobs, Customers, Invoices, Estimates, Pricebook, Calls each have their own filter and search box on their list page.
Important
Two keystrokes from the dashboard won't find anything across the whole account. Open the list of the thing you're looking for first, then search within it.

⌘K//command palette from any page. - Saved searches pinned to the sidebar.
- Searching memberships, purchase orders, or vendors by free text — those lists filter by status only.
