Tags are short, color-coded labels you can stick on jobs, customers, leads, and calls. They're how you slice the data Run a Call doesn't track natively — VIP, Warranty, Property manager, Insurance claim.
Create a tag
- Settings → Tags → + New tag.
- Name — keep it 1–3 words.
- Color — pick from the palette.
- Applies to — choose where this tag is allowed: jobs, customers, leads, calls (or all four).
- Save.
Applying tags
| Method | How |
|---|---|
| On a record | Click the Tags chip → pick from the list. |
| In bulk | Multi-select rows on Jobs/Customers/Leads → Bulk actions → Apply tag. |
| Automatically | Automation rules can apply tags on events. See Templates and shortcodes for automations. |
Filtering by tag
Anywhere there's a filter bar, Tags is one of the filters. Match all requires every tag to be present; Match any needs at least one.
Reporting
Tags can group rows in the Jobs report, Profitability report, and Custom reports. Filter or group-by on Tag to see, e.g., Profit per insurance-claim job.
A few conventions that scale
- One color family per category — green = revenue/positive, red = risk, blue = status.
- Don't tag every job — if the tag's on everything, it's noise.
- Sunset tags you stopped using — delete or hide them.
