Download Run a Call from the Apple App Store — the production listing your field techs will use.
Install
Open the App Store on iPhone or iPad, search for Run a Call, and tap Get to download and install.
The app runs on iPhone (for the truck) and iPad (kitchen-table estimates).
Open the app after install, then enter the email + password the owner used when inviting you.
Grant permissions
| Permission | Required for |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Dispatched jobs to reach you. |
| Location | Time-tracking and route geofencing. |
What "Field" version means
The iOS app is the field build — focused on what techs need on a job: My Jobs, time clock, photos, signatures, mobile estimates, mobile invoices, click-to-dial, customer messaging.
The office-staff workflows (full dispatch board, settings, reports) live on the web app at app.runacall.com and run better there.
Updates
The app auto-updates through the App Store. Major UI changes typically ship every 2–4 weeks; security and bug fixes ship more often.
Troubleshooting first install
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| App search returns nothing | Verify your region is set to US in the App Store. |
| Sign-in says "no organization" | The owner didn't invite your email yet. Ask them to send an invite from Settings → Team. |
| Notifications don't arrive | Check Settings → Run a Call → Notifications and confirm they're allowed. |
