Every job has a timeline that records what happened, who did it, and when. It's the first place to look when something seems off.
Where to find it
Open the job — the activity timeline runs along the top of the job page.

What gets logged
| Event | What it records |
|---|---|
| Status changes | Every transition with the user who made it. |
| Assignment changes | Old assignee → new assignee. |
| Time clock events | On my way, Arrived, Mark done, plus duration. |
| Customer interactions | SMS sent, email sent, ETA pushed. |
| Photo uploads | Before and after photos, with thumbnail. |
| Signature | The moment the customer signed, with the IP address. |
| Estimates & invoices | When sent, viewed, approved, paid. |
| Notes added | By whom, internal vs customer-facing. |
| System events | Payment cleared, sync to QuickBooks, automation triggered. |
Filtering the timeline
Use the chips above the timeline to filter — Status, Comms, Money, Files. Useful when investigating one specific thing (e.g. Money to see every payment attempt).
Exporting
Click ⋯ → Export activity (PDF) to save a record. Useful for disputes, warranty claims, and tech reviews.
Privacy
The timeline shows every system event for that one job. It does not show anything outside this job — the tech's GPS history, other customers, etc. To see broader audit data, see Recent account activity.
