An unscheduled job is one that exists in the system but doesn't have a date or assignee yet. They live in the Unassigned queue at the top of the dispatch board.

When you'd want one

  • The customer wants service soon but you can't promise a slot yet.
  • Estimate hasn't been approved — when it is, you'll schedule.
  • Backlog from a slow week.

Create one

  1. + New Job.
  2. Skip the Date and Assignee fields.
  3. Fill in customer, address, scope.
  4. Save.

The job lands in Unassigned.

Find unscheduled jobs

  • Dispatch board — top strip.
  • Jobs page — filter Status: Unscheduled.
  • AI Receptionist follow-ups — every booking the AI couldn't confirm a time for shows up here.

Schedule one later

  1. Drag from the queue onto a tech row on the dispatch board.
  2. Or open the job → Schedule → pick date, time, assignee.

Don't let them pile up

Warning

Unscheduled jobs aging more than 3 days is a warning sign. The customer's already half-cold. Set up an automation to ping you when unscheduled jobs cross that threshold.
