Closing a job from the mobile app runs through a checklist: photos, signature, payment recording. When all required steps are done, the job flips to Completed.

The close flow

From the job page, tap Close job. The checklist appears:

Generate the invoice

Pulls in the job's line items, taxes, and totals. Review and adjust if needed.

Send (optional)

You can also send later from the office. The invoice email goes to the customer.

Record payment

If the customer is paying now, record it here. Methods: cash, check, or card-on-site (manual recording).

Split payment (optional)

If the customer is paying part now (deposit) and the rest later, split the amount between methods.

Signature

Customer signs on glass to acknowledge work completion.

Record final notes

What was found, what was done, anything for the next tech to know.

Done

Job flips to Completed; the invoice is created/sent (depending on your config); time clock stops.

What's required vs optional

StepDefaultNotes
PhotosOptionalRequired if the owner enabled the "before/after photos required" rule.
SignatureOptionalRequired if enabled in account settings.
PaymentOptionalYou can close the job without payment and chase it later via the invoice link.
Invoice creationAlways happens (draft minimum)Sending is optional.

Recording cash, check, or card

Important

The "Card" option here means you recorded that the customer paid by card on-site — for example, with their own merchant card on a paper receipt. It does NOT charge their card through Stripe. There's no on-device card reader integration today.

For online card collection, send the invoice link instead — the customer pays through the Stripe-hosted checkout page on their own phone.
