Turn on online booking so customers can request service from a public web form. Setup takes a minute.
Open booking settings
Settings → Booking.
Enable online booking
Tick Enable online booking.
Pick a URL slug
A unique short name that becomes part of the public URL (e.g. acme-hvac → runacall.com/book/acme-hvac).
Save
The public URL is now live. Share it on your website, in your invoice footer, on your Google Business Profile.
What customers see
A clean form with your logo, your brand color, and:
| Field | Required | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Service type | Yes | Picked from the list you configure. |
| Urgency | Yes | Routine / Urgent / Emergency. |
| Name | Yes | — |
| Phone | Yes | — |
| Yes | — | |
| Service address | Yes | — |
After they submit, they see a confirmation message (customizable — see Customizing the confirmation message).
What happens to a submission
Each booking creates a customer record with lead_status: Lead and a pending booking request. The office gets a notification immediately:
| Notification | What it does |
|---|---|
| Booking inbox entry | New row in the inbox. |
| SMS to the dispatcher | Optional. |
The customer gets the on-screen confirmation; you decide when to schedule them.
When to turn it off
If you're swamped and don't want more inbound until you catch up, you can pause booking — see Disabling the booking portal.
