Member discounts auto-apply to non-covered work that a member buys. The tech doesn't have to remember; Run a Call applies it for you.

How it works

When you create an estimate or invoice for a member:

  1. Line items load at the standard pricebook price.
  2. The member discount is applied at the bottom (or per-line, depending on your config).
  3. The customer sees both the original price and the member savings.

The discount %, line-vs-total, and which items are covered are all set on the membership template.

Configuring on the template

Settings → Memberships → [template] → Member discount.

FieldWhat it does
Discount percentage10%, 15%, 20%.
Applies toLabor only, Parts only, or Both.
Excluded itemsSpecific pricebook items that don't get the discount (e.g. expensive equipment).
Apply automaticallyYes (recommended). If No, the tech has to apply it manually.

What members see

On the customer-facing invoice page:

Service call (1 hr) ............... $129.00
Capacitor (Comfort Club price) ..... $89.25 ($105.00 - 15%)
                                    ─────────
Subtotal ........................... $218.25
You saved $15.75 with Comfort Club

That You saved line — even when it's small — drives renewal. Members see the benefit.

On estimates

Same logic. If a member is getting an estimate, the discount shows. They see the original price crossed out and the member price alongside.

This is also a great moment to upsell: "If you joined Comfort Club today, you'd save $X on this estimate."

Per-line override

Sometimes you don't want the discount on a specific line (a marked-up commercial part, say):

  1. On the estimate or invoice, click the line item.
  2. Toggle Apply member discount: off.
  3. Save.

Only that line is excluded.

Stacking with other discounts

Member discounts stack after any account-wide or one-off discount. Example:

  • Subtotal: $200
  • One-off discount: -$20 → $180
  • Member discount 15%: -$27 → $153

Tracking member savings over time

Each member's profile shows Lifetime member savings under the Memberships tab — the running total of every discount they've received since enrolling. This is a great customer-facing number for renewal conversations.
