Run a Call Phone is the built-in VoIP system — inbound and outbound calls, SMS, call recording with transcripts, and the AI Receptionist all in one. You don't need a separate phone provider.
What you get
| Feature | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Local or toll-free numbers | Any US area code; provisioned in seconds. |
| Number porting | Keep your existing line — see Porting your existing number. |
| Click-to-dial | From any customer, job, or estimate page. |
| Two-way SMS | Send and receive texts (A2P 10DLC registration required). |
| Call recording + transcripts | Auto-attached to the customer record. |
| AI Receptionist | 24/7 inbound coverage that books jobs. |
| E911 | With verified address per number. |
We provision the numbers, route the calls, and store the recordings — you never touch a carrier directly. The result is industry-standard call quality without the usual carrier flakiness.
What it costs
| Charge | How it's billed |
|---|---|
| Phone numbers | Flat monthly fee per number |
| Calls | Included up to your plan's minute budget; per-minute overage |
| SMS | Included up to your plan's message budget; per-message overage |
| AI Receptionist | Separately metered — $99/mo + $0.75 per call past 100 calls/month. See billing details. |
Live usage is visible under Settings → Phone → Usage.
Getting started
For most shops, the setup is:
- Get a new phone number — or port your existing one.
- Set the E911 address.
- Enable call recording.
- (Optional but recommended) Set up the AI Receptionist.
Mobile dialer
The mobile app includes a full dialer. Field techs can make and take calls from your business number — their personal number never shows.
See Using Run a Call Phone on mobile.
Desktop dialer
The web app has a floating dialer (bottom-right of every page). Click Phone icon to open. Outbound calls dial through your business number; inbound calls pop a notification with caller ID and call history.
