Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes — port it. See Porting your existing number to Run a Call. Allow 5–10 business days for local numbers, 7–14 for toll-free.
How many phone numbers can I have?
As many as you want. Each number has a monthly cost (shown in Settings → Phone → Numbers when you provision).
What if I'm out of office and the AI Receptionist is off?
Inbound calls go to voicemail. The voicemail and transcript appear in your Phone inbox. See Finding missed calls and voicemails.
Why isn't my SMS getting through to customers?
| Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|
| A2P 10DLC not approved | See Registering for A2P 10DLC. SMS can't send before approval. |
| Carrier filtering | Register your business at the Free Caller Registry so Verizon/AT&T/T-Mobile carriers stop filtering your messages. |
| Customer opted out | They texted STOP; the carrier blocks future messages from your number to that number |
Can my customers text me back?
Yes. Inbound replies land in the Messages page tied to the customer's thread.
What if I get a spam call that the AI didn't filter?
Open the call → Mark as spam. The platform learns from your classifications, though there's no manual blocklist yet.
Does Run a Call work outside the US?
Today, US numbers only. International expansion is on the roadmap.
What about 911 emergency calls?
Every Run a Call number requires an E911 address. If someone calls 911 from a device using a Run a Call number, dispatchers reach that address.
Set this up when you provision the number — see Setting up your E911 address.
Can I record only some calls?
Today, recording is account-level (on or off for all calls). Per-call opt-out isn't a UI toggle. If you need per-customer recording suppression, contact support.
