Welcome. This is the first hour with Run a Call — the tour, the basics, and a first job by the end. By the time you finish, you'll have answered an inbound call, scheduled a tech, and sent an invoice.

Open app.runacall.com and sign in with the email the owner used at signup. We'll prompt you to enable two-factor authentication on the first login — set it up now, it takes 30 seconds.

Note

If you didn't get the welcome email, ask the account owner to resend it from Settings → Team. New users are invited by name and role, not by self-signup.

The dashboard at a glance

The home dashboard has three sections:

SectionWhat it shows
TodayThe day's scheduled jobs, in order.
QueueUnassigned work that needs a tech.
ActivityWhat just happened across the team (a call landed, an estimate was approved, a payment cleared).

Run a Call office dashboard

The left nav is your home base: Jobs, Estimates, Invoices, Dispatch, Customers, Leads, Pricebook, Phone, Reports. Everything else lives under Settings.

Add your team

Go to Settings → Team and invite people by email. Pick the right role:

RoleAccess
OwnerFull access, including billing.
AdminFull access, no billing.
StaffOffice and dispatch work, no system settings.
Field techAssigned jobs, schedule, photos, signatures, and payments only.

Invitations are good for seven days.

Set business hours and service area

Go to Settings → Business and set your weekday/weekend hours, your timezone, and the zip codes you serve. Dispatch and the AI Receptionist both use this — get it right before going live.

Book your first job

You can create a job two ways:

  1. From a phone call — when an incoming call comes in (live or via the AI Receptionist), click Book job on the call panel.
  2. By hand — click + New job from the Jobs page.

Either way, you'll fill in:

FieldWhat to enter
CustomerSearch existing or create new.
AddressAuto-validates against USPS.
Job typeService call, Tune-up, Install, etc.
ScheduleA tech, a date, a time window.

Hit save. The job lands on the dispatch board.

Send an invoice

When the tech marks the job done, the invoice draft is already built from the job's line items and labor. Open it, review it, and hit Send. Customer gets an email with a link to pay by card or ACH.
